Toy Watch with some bling August 8, 2010

I love my watch. I wanted one after seeing Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side. It arrived and I have been thrilled with it. It came with another piece of equipment so links can be removed if needed. Very nice. The "head" (face and back) are large. I am a big girl and this watch covers the top part of my wrist. The only concern I have it that the bezel that turns around the face of the watch may be lifting up. I'm not sure yet and have not returned it to have it checked out. If that decorative piece is just glued on then it might be lifting. I'll wait it out and see what happens.

I bought a Toywatch for my wife. It is marketed as "water resistant" but only in the fine print do you find that it only can withstand splashes and brief sprays. It is not able to withstand being submerged in water. My wife's watch was damaged when she gave the kids a bath; she didn't submerge her wrist under water, but it did get splashed. Toywatch will not replace the watch or provide a refund since they claim we misused the watch. Ridiculous. My morning newspaper is more water resistant than a Toywatch. If it can't withstand anything more than a brief spray, why even market it as water resistant?
On top of this, customer service has been impossible to reach, and very confrontational when they do respond.

I have ordered hundreds of things online and NEVER written a poor review until now. This is a great looking watch but has broken 4 times since I got it and I have paid to have it fixed at a local jeweler. Finally, on the fourth break the jeweler suggested I return the watch to TOY which has been a nightmare. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get someone on the phone. They do not return calls or emails. Before you buy this watch I suggest you call the customer service line and see for yourself what you will be dealing with when the watch breaks.

my wrists are too thin May 20, 2010

I ablsolutely loved the watch BUT had to send it back regretfully. I took out links to fit my wrist but then couldn't get it on over my hand, so, I put the links back in. Then I could fit it over my hand but it was too big/loose on my wrist. I loved it so much I though I could wear it as a bangle but the stem kept hitting the back of my hand creating a sore spot. So long story short (too late) you better be sure your wrists are large enough or you will be sadly disappointed.:( All in all, the watch is a beauty!

The watch wasnt what I thought it was going to be... They said it's new"type" of plastic, but it seemed plastic. Also, the company never responded to several emails. Still waiting for my refund!!!!
