Product Description Size your metal watch bands and bracelets with this easy to use tool. Simply align the pin that connects the links with the pin on the tool and turn the handle to push the pin out. Each removable link on the watch bracelet has an arrow that indicates the direction of the pin to be pushed. The twist design makes it easy to remove or add links to most watch bands. Includes 4 additional pins in the package. Great Tool!

Watch Band Sizer March 7, 2010 Robert C. Koestler (College Station, TX) Works OK, but better to remove links than to install links as you need a pliers to get the pins completely back in.
Junk watch band tool February 7, 2010 RONALD SZOTAK (NJ) This watch band link removal tool is a piece of junk. The pin dye broke the first time I used it. Luckily they send three with it and they are easy to replace. The reason they send three is because they know it's poorly made. The plastic pieces are of low quality as well. I suppose you get what you pay for and this cost me under $10. What good is a tool if you can't use it after a few times though? Spend more and buy a tool that will last you.
Excellent February 5, 2010 Sabrina (Florida) Really works well on any watch band and is simple to use. Has spare parts as well which is great
Heavy Duty? Not January 24, 2010 Julian46 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this intending to use it for a practical adjustment only, aware that at this price, it would hardly be heirloom quality, or even decent quality. However, even the reviews which point this out fail to note how totally crappy this piece is. It looks like something you'd get for free and on first use the initial pin remover crumbled, the second worked but the 'heavy-duty' plastic base snapped clean in two, sending part across the room. On the grounds that the world needs to be rid of such junk, I sent it back and warn you all to look elsewhere. Spend a couple of bucks more and buy something that actually is made to do the job. Heaven only knows what the regular model consists of if this is the upgraded version. Total junk.
Does the Job but Easy Does It ... January 16, 2010 M. Spalmacin I bought this to adjust a new watchband that used the tightest pins ever made to connect the band's links. My usual approach of using a metal scribe and a tack hammer to knock out the pins didn't work, so the watchband just lay in a drawer gathering dust. I saw this gadget on Amazon and decided that I wasn't going to let an expensive watchband go to waste, and the price was low enough to take a chance. I'm glad I did.
The action is not exceptionally precise (it is plastic, after all) and I don't think it will take a lot of punishment, but it only has one job to do and it does that well *provided* you are careful in how you apply it to the watchband. I was able to push out the link pins with slow but firm pressure on the screw drive mechanism and managed to break only one of the drive pins in the process (the drive pin was not centered on the link pin, doh!). Good thing there are 4 extra drive pins supplied in the packaging. They just screw/unscrew into the working end of the screw drive mechanism.
Once I got the hang of the device and the amount of pressure needed to push out the pins without breaking the drive pin, it very simply and reliably drove out the pins. The instructions are so-so but once examined it's obvious how the device works, so the instructions can be ignored.
